Tour Ycone
Jean Nouvel, an architect with an international reputation, has designed the new Ycone tower in Lyon's "La Confluence" district. Inaugurated on March 7th 2019, it is a building of great diversity (92 apartments including 27 social housing units as well as stores) that resonates perfectly with the word "confluence" meaning meeting and mixing. A building in the spirit of its time but also a place to live in the future.
An opening and a wide field of vision on the outside
Many housing programs today are looking for high acoustic comfort, outdoor surfaces in loggia or terrace, with maximum openings. This was the case with the Ycone tower, which, because of its location in the immediate vicinity of the railways and not far from the Autoroute du Soleil, also required special acoustic treatment. The architect Jean Nouvel first imagined a double skin facade (two superimposed planes). Then, opted for high-performance corner sliders in terms of sound attenuation: the Reynaers Aluminium CP 130 system in corner version, which allows you to enjoy outdoor spaces and let in as much light as possible while protecting against noise.
Homes where it is good to live and where everyone feels at home
Jean Nouvel wanted to create comfortable places where people want to stay. Dwellings where you are not subject to the view of your neighbours and where privacy is protected. To this end, he sought the best ways to stay out of the gaze of the other without it representing a nuisance. "A comfort of life in which Reynaers Aluminium participates thanks to its CP 130 sliding doors," explains Thomas Faustini. This system allows to open large windows, with leaves of 2.60 m wide and 2.70 m high up to 300 kg, it can also reach 36 dB of acoustic attenuation. It also provides multiple configurations (from monorail to eight rails, galandage and angle).
Reynaers Aluminium's CP 130 system provides high-performance air, water and wind tightness for a sliding system: A*4 E*8A V*C3 and its thermal performance can reach a Uw of 1.3 W/m².K.
